Saudi Arabia’s Highway 10, Awesome….!

The construction of Saudi Arabia’s Highway 10, which connects Riyadh to Jeddah, is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the country. The project began in the 1970s and was divided into several stages.

The construction of Highway 10 in the first stage took place from 1970 to 1975, a 780 km long highway was successfully built. The construction cost at this stage is estimated at around 1.2 billion Saudi Riyals.

Furthermore, in 1980, the construction of the second phase began and was completed in 1985. At this stage, a 220 km long highway was successfully built at a cost of around 2.5 billion Saudi Riyals.

The third phase of Highway 10 construction began in 1990 and was completed in 1995. At this stage, at a cost of 3.8 billion Saudi Riyals, a 150 km long highway was built.

For all that, Saudi Arabia spent a lot of money, the total cost of building Highway 10 is estimated at around 7.5 billion Saudi Riyals. With the construction of this highway, it can improve connectivity and facilitate trade between Riyadh and Jeddah.***
