DesertX is the name of a motorcycle launched by premium motorcycle manufacturer Ducati. DesertX is a type of off-road trail adventure motorbike that is capable of bulldozing wild tracks such as single-track off-road tracks, rocky hills, deserts, narrow gravel roads and other terrain.
By using a front wheel with a size of 21 inches, and for the rear wheels using a size of 18 inches, it is deliberately designed to overcome all rough terrain. The DesertX motorcycle as a whole looks quite unique starting from the position of the seat which has a height of 875 mm, but the height can still be reduced by using official accessories from Ducati, namely Lowered seats and Lowering kits, a windshield that integrates with the double main lights, and also includes the tank and side guards.
Uniquely, the DesertX fuel tank has two tanks. The main tank is at the front capable of accommodating 21 liters of fuel, and an additional tank, but sold separately, is installed at the rear with a fuel capacity of 8 liters. The rear tank will be active if the fuel is the main tank is at a certain level and can be activated only via the dashboard.
As for the engine, the DesertX is equipped with a Testastretta 937 cm3 engine with a Desmodromic Testastretta 11° valve which is also equipped with liquid cooling. With this machine capable of producing power of 110 hp at 9,250 rpm, maximum torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm in Euro5 configuration. This machine is the result of developments made on Monster and Multitrada V2 and includes a very compact and lightweight 8-blade clutch. To help as the main support in the performance and safety of the rider, DesertX is also equipped with a sophisticated electronic system.
