3 Military Ships Produced by PT Palindo Marine for the Indonesian Navy


Shipbuilding company PT Palindo Marine is present at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia at the Indo Defense 2022 international defense exhibition, displaying several new ship designs.

PT Palindo Marine itself is a shipbuilding company located in Tanjung Uncang, Batam Island, Riau Islands. PT Palindo Marine has 30 years of experience in building marine vessels made of steel, aluminum and also steel-aluminum combinations. PT Palindo Marine is also a the largest patrol boat maker, namely the State Ship (KN) Tanjung Datu 1101 which is owned by the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla), the ship has a length of 110 meters.

Among the several ships on display, three ships were offered to meet domestic needs, especially military equipment for the Indonesian Navy (Tentar Nasional Indonesia), as well as export destinations.

1. Ship KCR 60

KCR 60 is a type of Fast Attack Missile Boat, this ship has an overall length of 67 m and weighs around 600 tons. It has a maximum speed of 35 knots and 22 knots for cruising speed which is produced from twice marine diesel engines min 4,300 KW /5,766 HP.

2. Combat Boat 20

This ship can accommodate 18 soldiers and 4 crew. It has a maximum speed of 50 knots resulting from twice the marine diesel MAN with a power of 1,400 HP each. The combat boat has a length of 21 meters, with a displacement of 30 tons.

3. Submarine.

This submarine has the ability to dive to depths of up to 150 meters, surface displacement of 220 tons, and underwater speeds of up to 10 knots, with dimensions of 30 meters in length. The Indonesian Navy has used ships produced by PT Palindo Marine, namely the KCR 40 class type KRI Surik-645 and Combat Boat D-18 Yapen Island and Langkai Island. ***
